You will not foster alone.
Support is one of the things Little Acorns is most proud of.
Fostering can be deeply rewarding, but it can also be demanding. Children need stability, and carers need the right people around them to help provide it.
From the moment you join Little Acorns, you will have a dedicated Supervising Social Worker who gets to know you, your family and the children you care for. They will be there to guide you, listen, advise and help you work through challenges.
You will also have access to 24-hour support from people who know you. We do not want our carers feeling passed around or left alone when they need help.
Support at Little Acorns includes:
- A dedicated Supervising Social Worker
- 24/7 support from familiar members of the team
- Regular supervision and guidance
- A generous fostering allowance plus birthday, summer and Christmas payments
- A buddy system for new carers
- Training and development
- Support groups
- Activity days and family events
- Practical support when challenges arise
- FosterTalk membership and additional advice services
We are a family-run agency, and that shapes how we work. We know our carers by name. We listen. We stay involved.
At Little Acorns, you are not approved and left to get on with it. You become part of a fostering family that is there for you when it matters.
